Side Effects:  The common side effects include: constipation, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, gas, headache, heartburn, nausea, and stomach upset. If you experience any unusual or severe reactions, please contact your doctor.

Drug Interaction Concerns: If you are taking any of the following, please discuss with your doctor: (1) Anticoagulants (such as warfarin), aspirin, corticosteroids (i.e. prednisone), heparin, or SSRIs (such as fluoxetine) because risk of stomach bleeding may be increased by this med. (2) Antacids, other NSAIDs and/or probenecid because they may increase the risk of this medicine's side effects. (3) Acetaminophen, cyclosporine, lithium, methotrexate, quinolones and/or sulfonylureas (such as glipizide) because the risk of their side effects may be increased by this prescription. (4) Angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (known as ACE inhibitors) (i.e enalapril), angiotensin receptor blockers or diuretics (such as furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide) because their effectiveness may be decreased by this generic drug.

Safety Notes: (1) This pill may cause dizziness or drowsiness. These effects may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it. (2) Serious stomach ulcers/bleeding can occur with the use of generic Dolobid. Taking it in high doses, for a long time, smoking, or drinking alcohol increases the risk of these side effects. If you have severe stomach or back pain, black/tarry stools, vomit that looks like blood or coffee grounds and/or unusual weight gain or swelling, contact your doctor. (3) Do not take aspirin while you are using this medication. (4) This drug may cause harm to the fetus. Do not use it during the last 3 months of pregnancy. If you think you may be pregnant, contact your doctor. Do not breast-feed while taking this med.
