and Naproxen Sodium (na-prox'en) are used for the
treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis,
and juvenile arthritis. Also, it's used for tendonitis, bursitis, gout,
menstrual cramps, and/or mild to moderate pain. Unlabeled uses of this drug
include Paget's disease and Bartter's syndrome.
Exactly how it works is not known. It may block certain substances in the
body that are linked to inflammation. NSAIDs treat the symptoms of pain and
inflammation. They do not treat the disease that causes those symptoms.

Common Side Effects of this
Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory
Medicine? - Include: constipation, diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness,
gas, headache, heartburn, nausea, stomach upset, and stuffy nose. Seek
medical attention immediately if you experience any severe side effects.
Drug Interactions: Discuss with your
doctor any other medications you are taking with generic Generic Naprosyn
Anaprox. This
include: (1) Anticoagulants (such as
warfarin),
aspirin, corticosteroids (like
prednisone), heparin,
or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (such as
fluoxetine)
because the risk of stomach bleeding may be increased with the use of
generic anaprox. (2) Do not use Probenecid because it may increase
the risk of this drugs side effects. (3) Cyclosporine, hydantoins,
lithium, methotrexate, quinolones, sulfonamides, or sulfonylureas (such as
glipizide) because the
risk of these medication's side effects may be increased by the use of this
NSAISs . (4) Angiotensin-converting enzyme (known as ACE) inhibitors
(such as
enalapril), beta-blockers, and/or diuretics (such as
furosemide
&
hydrochlorothiazide) because their effectiveness may be decreased by
this med.
Important Notes About This Generic Medication:
(1) This medication may cause dizziness or drowsiness. These effects
may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Do not
drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you
react to it. (2) Serious stomach ulcers or bleeding can occur
with the use of Naproxenn. Taking it in high doses or for a long time,
smoking, or drinking alcohol increases the risk of these side effects.
Taking this drug with food will NOT reduce the risk of these effects.
Contact your doctor or emergency room at once if you develop severe
stomach or back pain; black, tarry stools; vomit that looks like blood
or coffee grounds; or unusual weight gain or swelling. (3) Do not
take aspirin while you using this drug. (4) Naproxen may harm the
fetus. Do not use it during the last 3 months of pregnancy. If you think
you may be pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the
benefits and risks of using Naproxen while you are pregnant. Do not
breast-feed while taking prescription.
